Just a short distance from your Maryland Cabin Rental is one of the most significant engineering marvels in American history: the C&O Canal (Chesapeake and Ohio Canal). Often referred to as the “Grand Old Ditch,” this 184.5-mile waterway was born from a dream of connecting the Atlantic tidewater at Georgetown to the Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
