5. Make Planning Your Stay Simple
We recently created a dedicated Maryland cabin rates page to make planning your Timber Valley Retreat getaway easier. You can see the nightly rate, additional guest and pet fees, cleaning fee, taxes, minimum-stay requirements, and direct-booking information all in one place.
When you book directly through our website, there are no booking fees. You can also see photos and information about all three cabins before deciding which one is right for your stay.
Stay Requirements
- Monday–Thursday: One-night minimum for direct bookings made by 4:00 PM local time
- Weekends: Two-night minimum
- Holiday weekends: Three-night minimum
- Maximum occupancy: 5 guests per cabin
- Camping: $25 per person, per night, with prior approval when cabin capacity has been reached
- Pets: $30 per stay
- Cleaning fee: $125
- Taxes: 6% Maryland sales tax plus 6% Washington County tourism tax
- Credit card fee: 3%
- Events: No events without prior approval

Part of the Timber Valley experience is having so much to explore just beyond the property. The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park follows the Potomac River through Western Maryland and offers opportunities for walking, biking, wildlife watching, and discovering the history of the canal and surrounding landscape.
For a step back into Maryland’s colonial history, Fort Frederick State Park is only a short drive from Timber Valley Retreat. The historic stone fort was built in 1756 during the French and Indian War, and the surrounding park includes hiking trails, the Potomac River, and access to the C&O Canal.
